verb

  1. make (something) simpler or easier to do or understand.

We all want our lives, especially our work, to be uncomplicated and easy. Here are four tips to Simplify Your Workday:

Create an ideal day-If you could have an ideal workday from the moment you woke until you fell back into bed, what would it be like? Map it out. You can use this as a guideline to get back on track when you day isn’t going well.

Eliminate meetings-Go back in your schedule and review every meeting you had in the last month. Look critically at which meetings were time wasters, which meetings you didn’t need to attend or meetings where you could have sent someone else in your place. A client of mine did this and was able to eliminate seven meetings. That’s seven plus hours of freed up time!

Create a work space you love-You’re not going to be attracted to work in your office if your office doesn’t reflect who you are and what you do. It should be a comfortable space. Make your office a sanctuary to work in. Need ideas? Visit Wave Productivity’s pinterest boards.

Go Away-It’s called a vacation! Take a vacation, get out of your office and hit the beach, mountains or new city. Allow yourself to relax. Often with relaxation and a new perspective, the challenges you face at work are solved when the brain is well rested.
