Hold Your Head Up

How to Give Yourself a Productivity Boost

When you surf and are paddling out past the impact zone you have to keep your head off the board and up and looking around you. It sounds easy but when you really need to paddle sometimes it’s easier to dig in with your head down. Keeping your head up keeps you aware of waves and other surfers.

Often when we start the day we get to our desks and open email first. We dig into all that we need to respond to. Today, think about the ways you can keep your head up-mentally giving yourself a productivity boost.

Ask yourself, do I want to be proactive or reactive? What are the ways in which you can be proactive with your workload and what you have to do?

It might be that you hold off on answering emails and voice mails because you know that your energy level is up and you can tackle a hefty project. Maybe you choose a task that will get you ahead in your work.

Keep your head up and have a great day! Ride the wave of focus, organization, and productivity.
