Pinterest can be a lots of fun and on the flip side, a major time suck. If you’re not familiar with Pinterest, think of it like a bulletin board where you pin up pictures you like. On Pinterest those pictures are called pins. Recipes, fashionable outfits, craft ideas, it’s all there and so is Wave Productivity. For Wave Productivity clients and productivity buffs, there are over 60 boards and thousands of pins with ideas and concepts. Here are the top five we love.
Bullet Journal-Often we gravitate to pen and paper to take notes in a meeting. To make your notes more effective, you can use legends. A star for something important, a check mark for a task you need to take action on. This board can help you formulate your own system so you can quickly scan for information with the meeting notes you take.
Covey Quadrant-Many of my clients ask for an effective way to prioritize tasks. For some, the Covey Quadrant is the answer that helps them decide what is a time waster, what to work on and what is an emergency. You always want to be working out of quadrant two. Quadrant one is a more reactive approach to work and three and four are time wasters.
5S-The five S’s are Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain. The 5S system is great for a desk and larger spaces like a workshop or art studio. It helps keep the space clean and clear. The process helps maintain a space for you and team members. 5S works well when many people share a space and need to share tools.
Desk Ergonomics-Feeling stiff at your desk? Is your computer at the right height? These pins are great visuals to setting up an ergonomically friendly desk. Stretches and other exercises can be great when taking a break throughout your workday.
