Understanding the Process for Productivity Coaching

What’s the process? What should I expect? What will I get out of Productivity Coaching?

Potential clients will always ask about the process that I’ll take them through when we begin Productivity Coaching. Here is an explanation of my process:

First, we need to find out if we are a good fit by setting up a consultation. During that consultation we discuss your productivity challenges and ways that Productivity Coaching can help. We’ll take steps during the consultation to decide if we want to part ways or continue by setting up an assessment. If you want to jump in and get started, you can sign up for a no cost thirty-minute consultation. No hard sell here, it’s just a conversation to see if we would work well together.

We begin with an hour-long assessment. The assessment looks at where you are currently and where you want to be at the end of our coaching sessions. Together we create a vision plan of what success would look like. We discuss obstacles and issues that might hinder your progress. There may be specific tools you use, we review those. We also discuss what you’re willing to do to make our coaching effective.

In our first coaching call, you and I review the assessment. This sets in motion the work that we’ll be doing together. Then we dive into the specific challenges you have and discuss ways to best make changes that match the desired outcome of the vision plan.

Awareness, Action and Learning is the model that is used in the coaching process  Clients have an awareness about the challenges they face, we move into action and from that action learning occurs. This powerful model allows us to identify what needs to shift and what works well. We focus on strengths the client has instead of a void or lack of skills.

From the awareness, action, learning model you begin to change and form new habits. These positive habits increase your ability to have better days at work. You’ll begin to feel more in control. Another important added benefit: an increase in revenue and an increase in clients/customers. Most importantly, you will accomplish more in your day to day work. Many of my clients have received business awards and promotions. Some have obtained much needed investment money and garnered the support of venture capitalists.  Your mind doesn’t have to linger on work because you are confident it’s been taken care of.

Clients will often focus on revenue generating activities in our coaching. Many clients will see an increase of 30-50% in their revenue. Money is great and well deserved and when a client tells me they are home at night to read a bedtime story to their two year old, that is priceless. When a client says that they made it to the gym for a workout or went for a bike ride, that is amazing. When a client mentions that they spent time with their family and stopped worrying about work, that is invaluable.
