Volunteering my time and services allows me to work with a variety of non-profits and help them do amazing work. One of my greatest joys is to be of service to people who are making a difference.
This year I announced the launch of Break Through Waves, a non-profit working to provide holistic health services to people with PTSD. The mission of Break Through Waves is for adults to learn to lead lives of balance in mind, body, and spirit. Together we harness the healing force of the ocean. This program is specifically designed for people who have experienced trauma or who have been diagnosed with PTSD and are looking for alternatives to wellbeing. Joining me in this partnership is a talented board of directors.
Our surfing program is offered at Easton’s beach in Newport, RI. Easton’s beach is the perfect place to experience the oceans gentle waves. In West Island, Fairhaven MA you are able to glide through calm waters on a stand up paddle board. We provide ocean therapy-surfing, stand up paddle boarding, along with yoga and mindfulness and educational information on trauma. You or someone you know can sign up for a session today!
Although I started Break Through Waves, I continued to work with other organizations in helping them be more focused, organized, and productive. When non-profits can increase their productivity, they can do more within the community they serve. Wave Productivity has a program called Waves of Kindness. The Waves of Kindness initiative allows non-profits to receive Productivity Coaching and Professional Organizing.
This year I volunteered over 150 hours with the following organizations. This year was special as I was awarded Volunteer of the Year by Social Enterprise Greenhouse!
